Spark Summit 2022 brought together some of Tulsa’s most exciting minds across music, technology, entrepreneurship, and policymaking. Hosted by Tulsa Creative Engine, the two-day conference filled Dreamland and Holberton School with panels, workshops, installations, and live performances meant to showcase what the city’s creative future could look like. It built on the momentum of Tulsa’s annual Dreamland Festival and expanded it into communal conversation.
My job was to anchor the event’s production from start to finish. Leading up to the event, I utilized established art direction to design social media flyers, panel information screens, and any other in-house graphic design needs (think everything from speaker schedules to restroom signage). Also, I led A/V direction for each stage and breakout room, collaborated with Holberton’s staff to run tech for dozens of presenters, and designed the on-screen visuals that tied each session together. After the summit wrapped, I edited the recap video to capture the energy of the weekend and give TCE content that carried its message forward.
This project cemented my connection to Tulsa Creative Engine and broadened my visibility within Tulsa’s creative community. It positioned me at the center of conversations with leaders who shaped the city’s artistic architecture and entrepreneurial ecosystem. More than anything, Spark Summit reminded me that my work isn’t just production; it’s actively shaping how a city sees its own creative momentum.
